Operational History
The Cahokia and its sister ship, the UPN Thakurgaon, were part of the initial 6 Korbach classes built for the UPN New Sol Fleet. While in Service, the vessel switched assignments from the Navy to Coast Guard and Customs multiple times, which resulted in a crew mixed in experience as well as branches. While the vessel was underway to a Border patrol mission to the fringe of contested Badigo space, it was spontaneously reassigned to the Lucido Quarantine Task Force in the aftermath of the Lucido attacks. Since there has been no crew change since, the crew is a mix of Navy and Coast Guard personnel.

Story Hooks
The Family Connection: A high-tech piece of OEG cloaking equipment is recovered from a pirate vessel. First Mate Brown recognizes the design signature as a prototype stolen from her mother’s company, Lothion Fleet Systems, years ago, pulling her into a web of corporate espionage and family secrets.
Additional Details
-
Chief Mirick has “customized” the ship’s internal comms system, adding several unauthorized channels that she uses to monitor engine performance and gossip with her engineering crew.
-
The skid-marks on the bow flight deck are the result of a particularly hairy landing by Commander Wood during a plasma storm in the Lucido Belt. Captain Robb refuses to have them painted over, calling them a “good reminder to stay sharp.”
