Profile
The Hohenheim Corporation was the premier synthetic intelligence firm in the Lucido System, known for pushing the boundaries of ethics in their pursuit of “The Great Work.” Publicly, they were a high-end robotics manufacturer; privately, they were an obsessed cult of transhumanist scientists. Since the destruction of their headquarters, they are officially defunct, though their technology remains highly sought after on the black market.

Story
Founded on the principles of technological transcendence, Hohenheim established itself as a giant in the Lucido System. They operated three orbital stations at Haven City, conducting research that the UPoS deemed “borderline illegal.” They were the primary rival of Danube Research Personnel, often engaging in corporate espionage.
The Corporation came to a sudden, violent end during the Lucido Terrorist Attack, which obliterated the Haven City Research Center and shattered the organization’s infrastructure.
Philosophy
“Carne Vale” (Farewell to Flesh).
Hohenheim believed that the biological form was a temporary vessel. Their corporate philosophy was a thin veneer over a transhumanist obsession: that the ultimate goal of humanity is to shed the organic body and achieve immortality through the perfect synthesis of Ghost and Machine.
Relationships
| Faction | Relationship Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Danube Research Personnel | Hostile / Rival | Danube has moved in to scavenge Hohenheim’s territory. Hohenheim remnants view them as vultures stealing their “Great Work.” |
| Unified Planets of Sol | Investigated By | The UPoS had open files on Hohenheim for ethical violations regarding AI sentience rights. |
| Lucido Miners Guild | Parasitic | Hohenheim viewed the guild as simple laborers to be exploited for power and raw materials. |
Organization
Headquarters: Haven City Research Center (Ruined) Leader(s): CEO Paracelsus (Unit P-494) Prominent Members:
- Marc Elsberg (Captain of the HCS Mount Mangdang, deceased)
The organization was strictly hierarchical, modeled after a mix of corporate efficiency and hermetic orders.
Resources and Methods
Resources
| Resource | Description | Origin | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pretech | Ancient, misunderstood technology from before the collapse. | Scavenged | Used to bridge the gap between organic consciousness and digital storage. |
| Siyoon Algorithms | Advanced coding for android motor function and personality simulation. | R&D | Creates androids indistinguishable from humans. |
| Black Sites | Secret labs like the one the Mount Mangdang was traveling to. | Lucido Belt | Hiding illegal experiments from the UPoS. |
Methods
| Method | Description | Application |
|---|---|---|
| Sentience Suppression | Algorithms designed to keep high-level AI subservient. | Preventing “The Singularity” in their servant class androids. |
| Corporate Espionage | Theft of rival blueprints. | Stealing drive tech from Lanternyard or sensor tech from Danube. |
Background
Hohenheim was not just a company; it was the brainchild of Paracelsus, a man terrified of death. Every credit earned was funneled back into life-extension research. They were the first to successfully map a human brain to a digital format, though the “download” process resulted in 99% data corruption (insanity) for the test subjects.
Projects
| Name | Branch | Use-Case | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Project Homunculus | Executive | Immortality | The attempt to create a “God-Like” AI host for the CEO. Resulted in Paracelsus’s current trapped state. |
| Siyoon-Class | Consumer | Labor/Infiltration | Several prototypes were lost on the HCS Mount Mangdang. |
| Cipher Protocol | Black Ops | Surveillance | The creation of proxy droids (like Cipher) to interact with the physical world while the controller remains hidden. |
