Notable Locations

|---|---|
| Altar of Faith | A cluster of domed temples near significant crystalline formations, serving as a primary pilgrimage destination and residence for a few high-ranking Whiteleaf members. |
| ”Lethe” Site-133 | A clandestine Danube Research Corporation black site dedicated to re-education, indoctrination, and enhanced interrogation, utilizing the local crystals to affect human memory and cognition. |
| Fields of Pausanias | A vast, breathtaking plain covered in smaller, grass-like crystals that emit a soft, chiming hum. Named after the ancient Terran geographer, these fields are a common pilgrimage route, with paths marked by generations of faithful travelers. It’s said one can get lost not in the geography, but in one’s own memories here. |
| Ouros Lydia | A jagged mountain range whose peaks are capped with massive, ruby-red crystals, a rare variant of the common Mnemosinic type. The Faiths consider this area a place of immense power, too dangerous for most pilgrims. Independent prospectors and Danube patrols, however, are drawn to the unique and potent resonant properties of the “Lydian Stones.” |
Typical Encounters
| Encounter | Type | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Pilgrim Procession | Civilian, Non-Hostile | Groups of faithful traveling between the Altar of Faith and various sites within the Crystalline Fields. |
| Danube Recon Patrols | Corporate, Potentially Hostile | Small, well-armed research squads from Danube Research Corp. surveying crystal sites, often wary of outsiders. |
| Independent Prospector | Neutral | Individuals or small groups attempting to illegally harvest Mnemosinic crystals, avoiding both the Faiths and Danube. |
Major Conflicts
| Conflict Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Faith vs. Corporation | The Celestian Whiteleaf Faiths view Danube’s research as a desecration of their holy sites and a perversion of the crystals’ purpose. This leads to tensions and protests. |
Adventure Hooks

- Danube Research Corp. is looking to hire a deniable team to “acquire” a specific crystal sample from a heavily guarded Faiths’ temple, claiming it is vital for medical research that could save millions.
- A coded distress signal is being broadcast from “Lethe” Site 133. It could be a trap, a defector, or a prisoner who has managed to get a message out.
- An independent prospector claims to have found a way to safely navigate the hazardous inner asteroid fields and wants to hire a crew for a high-risk, high-reward crystal harvesting expedition.
