Hammer Munitions Company manufactures essentially every capital ship long-barreled gun for the Unified Planets Navy. It exclusively manufactures government contracts. It has a standing loan contract to the Security Compound Company, lending them small arms and ammunition. Though the company has been facing a recent internal issue where outlying production branches seem to leak personal arms equipment to unauthorized end-users.

Story
HMC was founded in the desperate middle years of the First Gate War. When the pirate syndicates began using militarized hulls, the UPoS civilian fleet found their police-grade lasers useless against heavy armor. Marcus Hammer, a former asteroid miner, retrofitted heavy mining mass-drivers into ship-mounted cannons. These crude but devastating “Hammer Guns” turned the tide in the Sector 4 Skirmishes, and evened the field in subsequent engagements.
While HMC remains the Titan of naval ballistics, their small-arms division is under scrutiny. High-grade “Breaker” rifles—supposedly destroyed during quality control tests—have been found in the hands of the Free People of Badigo. CEO Ruth Rendell has launched an internal mole hunt, but the leaks suggest high-level corruption within the logistics chain.

Similar to CoreArms Incorporated, HMC believes in the Democratic values of the UPoS. Though while CAI aims to be the metaphorical good-samaritan aunt, HMC is their rough, cigar smoking husband.
