System Description
Lucido was the colonial capital of the Albion Sector from 2212 - 2430. Two years after the takeover of the Helion Sector Jetgate by the One Earth Government, an Atmospheric Deprivation Device was detonated inside Lucido Prime’s atmosphere. The continental world’s atmosphere was erased in seconds, boiling the oceans and eliminating all life on the planet cause cataclysmic destruction. After this, the capital was relocated to the Lima Systems.
The capital was relocated, and the system collapsed into ruin. Today, Lucido is a high-risk frontier surviving solely on the rare gemstone trade from its treacherous asteroid belts. This trade draws desperate independent prospectors to Beaven Point, the system’s only remaining viable habitat.

Points of Interest
| Location | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Beaven Point | Prospector Base | A hollowed-out asteroid station that serves as the system’s only viable trade hub. Overcrowded and chaotic due to the current gem rush, the station is rife with claim jumpers and desperate miners. The Miners Guild maintains tenuous control. |
| Lucido Belt | Resource Rich Area | A treacherous, high-density asteroid field nicknamed the “Glintring” due to the valuable rare gemstones found within. It’s poorly mapped, high-risk, and a known hiding ground for OEG remnants. It covers almost a third of the system. |
| New Albion | City Ruins | The skeletal remains of the former planetary and sector capital. Its scoured ruins are ground-zero for the calamity and are rumored to still hold lost military data, including data on the atmospheric deprivation device. |
| Lucido Quarantine Anchorage | Military Space Station | The anchorage is a medium-sized self defense platform and service yard for the quarantine task group. |
| Concordia Shipyards Wreckage | Wrecked Asteroid Shipyard | An abandoned, wrecked Shipyard. After the initial shock of the attack on New Albion, a fleet of OEG ships laid waste to most system installations, including this one. |

System Hazards
| Hazard | Description |
|---|---|
| Lucido Prime Debris Field | The high orbit of the old colonial capital is a dense, chaotic debris field of wrecked stations and warships. Navigation is suicidal and illegal without specific clearance codes. |
| OEG Terrorist Remnants | Remnants of the One Earth Government hide within the belts, preying on miners for supplies and targeting UPoS patrols. |
| Dense Asteroid Fields | The Glitterfields are treacherous, with unmapped debris and shifting fields causing a high collision risk. |
Notable Events
Current: A recent “Gem Rush” has flooded the system with new prospectors after rumors of a massive diamond find, increasing tensions over claims and creating easy targets for pirates
Recent: A UPN vessel destroyed an unidentified ship attempting to break the quarantine and land on The Husk, claiming it was an OEG vessel.
Historical: A catastrophic terrorist attack by the One Earth Government, utilizing an atmospheric deprivation device that instantly destroyed the biosphere of Lucido Prime and killed billions, forcing the relocation of the sector capital.
| Encounter | Type | Details |
|---|---|---|
| UPoS Quarantine Checkpoint | Legal / Military | A UPoS warship intercepts the crew for approaching the quarantine zone around The Husk, demanding ID and clearance codes. |
| Distress Call (OEG Attack) | Combat / Rescue | A mining ship sends a frantic distress call, reporting they are under attack by ships bearing OEG insignia. |
| Claim Standoff | Social / Combat | Two rival prospector crews are in a standoff over a valuable, newly discovered asteroid. |
Adventure Hooks
- An agent from Archivo Urkantone needs a crew to bypass the UPoS quarantine, land on The Husk, and retrieve environmental data from a hardened bunker that recorded the atmospheric deprivation device’s activation.
- A desperate prospector found a map allegedly leading to an OEG supply cache hidden within the Lucido Prime Debris Field, but it’s guarded by automated systems (and likely the OEG themselves).
- The commander of Beaven Point security hires the crew to hunt the King Gesar, believing the OEG raider is being secretly supplied by someone on the station.
Additional Details
The atmospheric Deprivation Device used in the attack was an experimental weapon of mass destruction developed by the Unified Planets of Sol. It was stolen by a sleeper agent in the Unified Planets Navy Intelligence Office by the One Earth Government. It was the first and only time the Galaxy saw this type of weapon.
