The Precursors built the Jetgates. An undying legacy that enables the society that inhabits the modern milky way galaxy.
As ancient as they were, eventually their dominion succumbed to time. Little has been uncovered of their life. Yet Danube Research Corp. still, in secret, confirmed some of these theories.
From archeological sites across the galaxy, it has been confirmed that there was no one species that made up the society of the Precursors, but that it was a large but currently indeterminate group of disparate or related humanoid species.
Their technology shows an unprecedented mastery of natural forces such as gravity, energy and particle interaction in such a degree that it is by all means, indistinguishable from magic to our current knowledge.
Their demise is just as unknowable as their technology. Though speaking out of pure heuristic of the circumstances of their disappearance, it must have been some force outside of our own galaxy. Something came, wiped out everything of them that was not nigh indestructible, and went again. Leaving our ancestors to cultivate their evolutionary path.
These three points are the only constants that show up in all sites individually or stem from the whole picture.
The Anaris Precursors
Research on the Anaris Ruins was conducted by UPoS research teams during the colonial period of the planet. Most findings were lost when the planet fell to barbarism. Records secured by agents in recent years unveiled ties to all sites of interest in the Albion Sector.
Physiology
The dominant species in Albion was 3m tall, quadrupedal but two-armed. This stems from one fully intact, mummified specimen entombed into the ceiling of a relic site inside the Crater Oasis. It is the only full body of a confirmed precursor.
Language
In the same ruins, murals made of a cuneiform-like spanned the walls of the burial site. Deciphering them was not successful to any meaningful way before the site became inaccessible.
Technology#
Other sites across Albion, most notably The Pretech Markers, as well as sealed bunkers on a number of planets hint at the existence of an interconnected system.
